Conceived in honor of clay, a key factor in carbon dating for archeological pursuit, Terracotta is an award-winning collection, produced for the competition marking the restoration and inauguration of the American University of Beirut museum in 2006. Inspired from Bronze Age ceremonial battle axes and 5th century BC Attic pottery, this assortment combines silver with clay. Handmade beads and tablets are incised, painted and glazed, echoing the brick red and black motifs on ancient Hellenic vases. The pieces are either accessorized with mirror-finish components or inlayed in matt silver with natural Coral additions.
